Create Discord Server and add botYguard

Discord setup

Create a Discord server and add botYguard.

Use this guide to create a dedicated Discord server for botYguard approvals, agent workflows, or secure workspace coordination. This is required if using Discord Channel integrations.

Install botYguard

Before You Start

You need a Discord account and access to the Discord app or web experience. The Discord links below may redirect you and ask you to open the Discord app.

If you are setting this up for the first time, create one server for your botYguard workspace first. You can add more servers later if your team needs separate environments.

1. Create A Discord Server

  1. In the Discord left menu, select Add a Server.
  2. Select Create My Own.
  3. Select For me and my friends.
  4. Give the server a clear name, such as My Personal Assistant.
  5. Select Create.

2. Install The botYguard Discord App and bot

Open the botYguard Discord app install link:

Install the botYguard Discord app

Discord may ask you to open the app. After that, Discord gives you the option to install the botYguard Discord app to My Apps or to a specific server.

Select Add to Server and choose the server you just created.

3. Confirm The Setup

Before you continue, confirm the app and bot are installed on your server. Select Server Settings > Integrations and verify the Bots and Apps shows botYguard.

Confirm the app and bot were successfully added.

4. Continue In botYguard

After the Discord server and bot are ready, continue with the server link and channel registration steps in the detailed setup guide:
